Congratulations to the “Lucky 13” destinations in the running to be the official host location of #SoMeT13US! They include 12 different states from every region of the county.
There will be three rounds of voting to decide which destinations will be in the Championship Final for #SoMeT13US. The first round will take place on Wednesday, March 13 to Friday, March 15. The first phase will be “48 Hours to the Elite 8”. All of the 13 destinations will be involved in a 48-hour vote to take the field from 13 to 8 destinations. It will begin at high noon Eastern Time on Wednesday, March 13 and continue for 48-hours. The voting will close at noon Eastern Time on Friday, March 15th. During the 48-hr period each voter will be able to vote once for their favorite destination. At the close of the voting, the eight destinations with the most votes, will then face off in the “Elite Eight” via a tournament style.
The Elite Eight Tournament will begin with four head-to-head matchups. The destinations will be seeded based on the number of total votes they received in round one. So, the destination with the most total votes in round one, will be the number one seed. They will face off against the number eight seed who received the least amount of votes in the Elite Eight, and so on. We will announce the seedings for the tournament round on the Facebook page by 2:00pm Eastern Time on March 15th. All of the voting for the round two match ups will be done in a 12-hour period. The destination with the most votes will move on to the next round.

Monday, March 18 – 10:00am to 10:00pm Eastern Time – #3 v #6
Tuesday, March 19 – 10:00am to 10:00pm Eastern Time - #4 v #5
Wednesday, March 20 – 10:00am to 10:00pm Eastern Time - #2 v #7
Thursday, March 21 – 10:00am to 10:00pm Eastern Time - #1 v #8
The Final Four tournament matchups will be:
Tuesday, March 26 – 10:00am to 10:00pm Eastern Time
Thursday, March 28 – 10:00am to 10:00pm Eastern Time
The Championship Final: Tuesday, April 2 – 10:00am to 10:00pm Eastern Time
